Surveys to be mailed for 2012 LIFE Report
WATCH FOR THE YELLOW ENVELOPE
Nearly 4,000 Portage County households will be randomly selected to participate in a LIFE (Local Indicators for Excellence) survey being conducted by community partners in order generate a LIFE Report that will help guide action to improve life in Portage County.
CAP Services, Marshfield Clinic, Ministry Saint Michael’s Hospital, Portage County Health and Human Services and United Way of Portage County are the community partners supporting this project. The purpose of the LIFE Report is to identify community strengths, challenges and priorities that will mobilize action in Portage County. This report will be an effective tool in raising awareness in our community on quality of life issues and to monitor trends and underlying causes. The LIFE Report will also serve as a resource and centralized source of data to non-profit organizations, policy makers, government entities, faith based organizations, foundations, corporations and more.
The survey will be mailed in a yellow envelope the week of January 16. It is important for residents to complete the survey because results provide important data and assist our communities in focusing on what changes are needed to improve the quality of life.
By tracking this data the community partners listed above can effectively address key priorities. A good survey response rate is critical to compile accurate information and data that isn’t available from other sources. Participants will have a chance to win one of four $25 Portage County gift certificates.
The combined survey responses will be published in the 2012 edition of the LIFE Report, due to be released September 2012. United Way serves as the fiscal agency for this community project.
