Kicking off the 2006 campaign with the deafening roar of nearly 100 motorcycle enthusiasts rallying at Pioneer Pfiffner Park , “United We Ride” proved to be a forerunner to the excitement and energy that carried throughout the campaign. Ultimately, the community efforts culminated in raising more than $2.2 million to fund health and human service programs throughout Portage County.

 

As we build from the momentum of this fantastic success, we are reminded that the needs for the community are great. 2007 will once again require our commitment, energy and dedication as we build “New Roads to a Stronger Community.” We are inspired to unite behind this challenge because together, we can achieve results that none of us can achieve alone. We’ll prepare kids to succeed, help families achieve self-sufficiency and strengthen neighborhoods.

 

In order to succeed, we need your help. Mark your calendars to join us on August 18 for “United We Ride: New Roads” where we will once again take our bikes out on the open road for a tour of Portage County . Or join us for the rally after the ride where we will announce the results of the pacesetter campaigns and enjoy good food and great entertainment.
