Community Concerns Workshops
United Way of Portage County is improving lives and building stronger communities, by focusing on the underlying causes of community challenges.
We are actively seeking and listening to peoples’ ideas about what matters. To do that, we’re scheduling several “Community Concerns Workshops” at locations throughout the county beginning in October. We are inviting all Portage County residents to attend one or more of these workshops and become a part of the process to make our great community even better.
Each workshop will focus on one of the following areas: providing basic needs and self-sufficiency, developing children and youth, strengthening families for a lifetime, and promoting health, healing, and crisis intervention. By listening to participants share their concerns for our community and visions for the future, we hope to create a list of community issues to be further researched and addressed.
Together, we can get results that no one can accomplish alone.
