Leadership Giving

United Way's Leadership Giving program consists of individuals who have chosen to set the pace for the rest of their community. Their contributions represent a vital part of United Way's funding and help encourage others to give to the best of their ability. Being a leader can mean many things. For United Way, it means lending a hand to those who are less fortunate and giving a second chance to those who have no other resources. By stepping forward as one of the select group of leadership givers, your family will enliven the growing spirit of commitment that creates a better life for all citizens.

The United Way of Portage County is fortunate to have over 700 leadership givers, contributing $500 or more during the 2006 campaign. Leadership giving may involve donations currently made in cash, stock, or real estate, as well as planned giving for future disbursement. Leadership givers are provided the option of recognition – many choosing to receive a plaque and have their name listed in the annual Stevens Society brochure. All giver requests for anonymity are honored.
