Solution Teams
The United Way of
Portage
County
, with the approval of its Board, has identified four focus areas and has begun the creation of community Solution Teams to address each focus area. Chairs and Vice Chairs for each area have committed themselves to lead the teams forward in the process:
Providing Basic Needs and Self-Sufficiency
Individual’s and families’ basic needs are met in a timely manner through a coordinated system of resources, providing them opportunities to achieve their highest potential.

Developing Children and Youth
Every child, from birth to adulthood, is valued and supported. Resources are maximized to support the development of our children and youth as contributing members of the community.
Chair: Kris Dragan
Vice Chair: Kathy Paulson
Strengthening Families for a Lifetime
Strong, diverse family units are thriving in a caring community committed to the collaborative development and sharing of resources to improve their quality of life.
Chair: Jeff Landin
Promoting Health, Healing and Crisis Intervention
Every community member has access to quality and innovative health and crisis intervention services, and the opportunity to achieve optimal health and wellness through coordinated care and educational programs.
Chair: Jeff Morris
Vice Chair: Brant Bergeron
Through an application process, each Chair and Vice Chair will select 12-15 volunteers representing the following groups to serve on their team: Board members, donors, agencies, organizational partners, interested members of the community and subject experts.
