The Dan Sandstrom Memorial Walleye Tournament

The Fifth Annual Dan Sandstrom Memorial Walleye Tournament will take place on Saturday, August 6th, 2011 from 7 A.M. to 3 P.M. with raffle proceeds to benefit the Achievement Center for Early Intervention, a United Way Partner Program.

The take-off for the fishing tournament will be at Bukolt Park. Tournament results and a raffle will start at 4 P.M. at the Moose Family Center. The public is invited to attend and can participate in the raffle.

Raffle prizes include donated items such as a Musky Box with Lures valued at $700, a Bushnell Hand Held GPS valued at $300, a three-month membership to the Stevens Point Area YMCA valued at $250 and many more great prizes.

Download an entry form here, or contact the event organizer, Rollie Vallin at 715-340-4859, or 715-345-0645. Entry fee is $60 per boat with two fishermen per boat. One hundred percent of the entry fee is paid out for total weight per boat.

There will also be a kids casting contest for kids ages 6-12. Winners will receive a rod reel and other prizes. The kids event will start at 2 pm at the Moose Family Center.
