United Way of Portage County
- 2009 Campaign Pushes Forward

At businesses throughout Portage County, workplace campaigns give employees the opportunity to make a difference in their community.  While special events bring fun to the workday and build awareness of United Way and its partner programs, many people use payroll deduction as an easy way to give a little each week. Approximately 75% of all individual giving to United Way of Portage County is generated through employee payroll deductions. United Way of Portage County has raised nearly 30% of its $2.35 million goal.

“Those small contributions add up to big change in the lives of others. We know many people are struggling right now, but if we can each give a little, we can reach out a hand to those in need and move towards a brighter tomorrow together,” said Sue Wilcox, Executive Director of United Way of Portage County.
