Agencies in Waushara and Marquette counties that provide food and shelter services applied for more than $18,000 in funds available from United Way earlier in 2018.
Applications are available above and must be submitted electronically.
United Way of Portage County, which serves Waushara and Marquette counties, collected funds designated during campaigns in 2016 and 2017.
In determining the largest needs of the counties, members of the allocations committee decided to focus on basic needs specifically related to food and shelter services. Approximately $15,293 was available for agencies that focus on those needs in Waushara County and approximately $3,039 was available to Marquette County agencies.
Staff from United Way of Portage County, Waushara County Human Services, and Marquette County Human Services assisted the committee during the allocations process.
