United Way of Portage County partners with area businesses, government, non-profit organizations and schools to conduct employee campaigns in the workplace. In addition to offering employees an easy, convenient way to support local programs, a United Way campaign is also a great way to help employees learn more about services and programs that are available to them, their families and friends.
The 2013 Campaign Kickoff will be held Saturday, Aug. 24, at Sentry Insurance with the fourth annual Run, Bike, Unite Duathlon -- proudly sponsored by the Sentry Insurnace Foundation.
United Way of Portage County is currently in the process of evaluating internal and Partner Program budgets to set the 2013 campaign goal. This goal will reflect programming needs here in Portage County that deal directly with the community's most current and critical issues.
The Andrews Family -- Ryan, Erin, Josh, Riley and Eleanor -- is our first ever Campaign Drive Chair "Family" for the 2013 United Way of Portage County Campaign.
Ryan Andrews is a family practice physician at Ministry St. Michael's Hospital in Stevens Point, as well as the medical director at Biolife and Sentry Insurance. He is also on the Saint Michael's Foundation Board of Directors and a coach for Portage County Youth Soccer.
Erin Andrews is the Andrews' family manager. She is also a volunteer for the Central Wisconsin Children's Museum, Central Wisconsin Children's Theater, Roosevelt Elementary School Walkathon and Good Shepherd Luthean Church in Plover.
Josh Andrews is an eighth-grade student at Ben Franklin Junior High School in Stevens Point. He is active with Portage County Youth Soccer, Ben Franklin Snow Club, Ben Franklin Yearbook, Ben Franklin Band and Good Shepard Lutheran Church.
Riley Andrews is a sixth-grade student at Roosevelt Elementary School in Plover. He is active with the Central Wisconsin Children's Theater, Portage County Youth Soccer, Good Shepherd Lutheran Church, and piano and voice lessons. He is also a junior black belt at Catura Martial Arts and a cadet at Roosevelt Elementary School.
Eleanor Andrews is a third-grade student at Roosevelt Elementary School. She is active with the Central Wisconsin Children's Theater, Portage County Youth Soccer, Russell Gymnastics, Good Shepherd Lutheran Church, and piano and voice lessons. She is a black belt candidate at Catura Martial Arts.
