Volunteer With United Way

VOLUNTEERING ROCKS!

United Way of Portage County holds annual volunteer projects and volunteer opportunities as part of our mission to strengthen our community. Explore all our options below.

Community Diaper Drive- Held annually between Mother’s Day and Father’s Day, community members are encouraged to donate diapers, wipes, diaper cream, and formula to participating drop-off sites.

Project Fresh Start- Community members and companies collect school supplies throughout the summer. Volunteer groups help organize, pack, and distribute supplies to families at an in-person event before the start of the school year.

Make a Difference Day- Volunteer teams rake and bag leaves for frail and disabled community members in need to ensure peace of mind before the winter.

Learn for Life- Volunteer tutors work on individualized reading lessons with 2nd and 3rd graders to help strengthen the fundamental skills needed for a lifetime of learning.

Kit-packing- United Way or Portage County facilitates a volunteer project between your group and a local agency with a current, critical need.

Other Community Volunteer Opportunities- United Way of Portage County provides a volunteer website where local agencies can post volunteer needs. These opportunities are not organized by United Way.
