United Way's Make a Difference Day is an annual event where volunteers help community members who are unable to rake leaves in their yard. Primary raking dates take place October 18-24th, 2026.
All ages are welcome to participate, with youth supervised by adults!

HOW IT WORKS
Groups are matched with one or more yards based on volunteer numbers and availability.
Your group will choose a date within the time frame to rake (October 18-24th between 7am to 6pm).
Everyone should bring rakes, gloves, and any other preferred tools. Homeowners should provide leaf bags, but volunteers may bring extra.
Raking will happen rain or shine, so make sure to dress for the weather!

The WAITLIST has Closed
For those you did not register their yard before the deadline, please call our office at 715-341-6740. We will add you to our mailing list for next year's Make a Difference Day registration.
The City of Stevens Point will do leaf pick up after MADD starting the week of October 26th.
In Plover, if leaf pick up occurs prior to MADD raking, Plover will return to MADD yards to do pick-up again after raking.
